The Restoration of the Moveable Chapel

Follow on Instagram by #movablechapel and #moveablechapel) this ongoing project of restoration glass work I had been commissioned to complete for a private homeowner on Jamestown, RI. The original stained glass windows date to the late 19th century, and while plain for the time they represent original examples of New England style-glass production. Each of these intact windows remain focal points of a unique private home on Harbor St. that was converted from the "moveable chapel" of Saint Matthew's Episcopal Church in 1933.

This project was featured too when the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island published a chronicle of the restoration to their website at episcopalchurch.org/jamestown-windows. Along with this article,  I recommend this 2013 article from the Jamestown Press: http://www.jamestownpress.com/news/2013-10-31/News/Jamestown_Historical_Society_Feature.html.

The following is a short video showcasing the place and the process of my recent restoration glass work on Jamestown, RI.
